Hello and welcome to my website! I am a lecturer and STFC Rutherford fellow in the Gravity Exploration Institute at Cardiff University. Previously, I was a CIERA postdoctoral fellow at Northwestern University, and a postdoctoral fellow at the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics (CITA).  Prior to that, I received a PhD in Astrophysical Sciences and Technologies at the Rochester Institute of Technology (with prof. David Merritt), and a Master degree in astrophysics from the university of Rome La Sapienza.  My main research interests include gravitational wave astrophysics, stellar dynamics, black holes, dense star clusters, and dynamics of exoplanet systems.

The picture above is a composite Spitzer/HST image of the central 100 parsecs of the Milky Way. The bright white cluster at bottom right is the Galactic center nuclear cluster, the location of the supermassive back hole SgrA*. The understanding of the origin and dynamics of these dense nuclear regions of the Galaxy and how their evolution is linked to the growth history of the central black hole is one of the main goals of my research.
